Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel

Philip C. Corbo has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (“ACTEC”).

ACTEC is the preeminent professional organization of more than 2,600 lawyers and law professors who have demonstrated the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence, and experience as trust and estate counselors.

To qualify for membership, a lawyer must have no less than 10 years’ experience in the active practice of probate and trust law or estate planning.  Lawyers and law professors are elected to be Fellows based on their outstanding reputation, exceptional skills, and substantial contributions to the field by lecturing, writing, teaching, and participating in bar activities.  Individual lawyers meeting the criteria for membership are nominated by Fellows of the College, and are subjected to careful review by both state and national membership selection committees prior to consideration by the regents of the College.
