Matt works on complex commercial litigation matters involving shareholder disputes, appellate practice, and corporate contract disputes.
Representative Experience
- Representation of substantial law firms and their lawyers with respect to issues of client representation, malpractice, and lawyer mobility
- Representation of closely-held business owners in disputes and litigation relating to ownership and control
- Representation of publicly-traded corporation in class action and commercial litigation
- Representation of closely-held businesses, corporations and limited liability companies in commercial contract litigation
- Provided legal support for attorney retained on behalf of a Fortune 100 company in defense of destruction of evidence claims
- Representation as New Jersey counsel in connection with multi-billion dollar estate litigation
- Representation of companies pursuing, and defending against, injunctive relief
- Successfully obtained summary judgment dissolving a multi-million dollar limited liability company
- Successfully obtained summary judgment on behalf of a major, multi-national beverage company in nationwide class action (class certification was also denied)
- Obtained Appellate Division reversal of the State of New Jersey’s rejection of client’s bid for public contract, with instructions from Appellate Division to award the contract to our client
- Obtained dismissal (no cause of action) on behalf of employer in dispute arising from employee’s disassociation with the company
